Cleaning and initial assessment
Each shock absorber is thoroughly cleaned to remove contamination and prepare the unit for inspection. Its condition and refurbishment requirements are assessed before further work begins.
Precision reassembly and calibration
The shock absorber is reassembled using controlled procedures. Its damping characteristics are set using a KARSUS-developed calibration system to achieve the required performance profile.
Performance testing
Each refurbished unit undergoes functional and performance testing before release. Its measured damping characteristics are verified against the applicable technical requirements.
Protective finishing
The completed shock absorber receives the required protective coating and finish to support resistance against corrosion and environmental exposure.
Extending product life
Professional refurbishment allows worn components to be renewed without replacing the complete shock absorber. This reduces material consumption, supports efficient lifecycle management and helps operators retain the value of existing equipment. KARSUS can also provide spare parts and technical training for customers carrying out approved refurbishment activities within their own maintenance operations.
One-year warranty
